What is pit spotting?
Pit spotting plays a pivotal role in enhancing the on-air product during motorsports broadcasts. Much of the information that gets broadcasted on-air is "spotted" by the pit spotter before being relayed to the reporter. This critical information is sorted through after communicating with team public relations representatives, and because of my experience behind the wheel, I understand what drivers and crew chiefs are battling over the course of each race. I play a large role in helping to get relevant radio bits onto broadcasts that shift the narrative of races.
